About Donna Stackhouse
Donna Stackhouse lives in Maine and has been drawing for as long as she could hold a pencil. As a young girl she spent many hours watching her grandfather who was a political cartoonist in Albany, New York. Donna has a lifelong desire to create art. She went to Endicott College where she majored in fashion design and illustration and advertising and graphic design. She has worked for many years as a freelance designer and illustrator working in a wide range of styles, including cartoon, fashion illustration, technical drawing, silk-screen design and school book illustration.
Donna has developed a style, which combines patterns, images and colors from the past with a contemporary spin. Some of the work is inspired by art from the turn of the century and well into the 50’s and 60’s.
“I was inspired by the simpler lines and nostalgic charm of the past and feel each creative design has timeless depth because of the vintage influence”.
